So you want to know: Where is Chloride, Arizona? Have you got a map? (Or look at ours.) Find I-40 (the big red stripe across the upper third of the state). Go left until you find Kingman. Now head northwest toward Hoover Dam. About 25 miles north, to the right, there's a little road and a little town at the end of that road. Chloride, Arizona! You're there!
OK, we'll be a little more precise.
We're located 3.5 miles east of highway 93 at mile marker 53 between Kingman and Hoover Dam. We're just 1 1/2 hours from Las Vegas.
At the turn-off onto the Chloride Road (County Rd 125), you'll see a big blue sign welcoming you. Just opposite the road is Grasshopper Junction.
CAUTION: This is open range country. It's not unusual to see cattle meandering on or near the road. Remember: They have the right of way. We like having them around, and we don't want them, or you, to get hurt. They don't mind being photographed—in fact, the old red bull with the wonky horn seems to like it—but DO NOT APPROACH ON FOOT Stay in your car and shoot your pictures out the window.
From Las Vegas: Leave town on the 515 freeway. where it ends south of Henderson, the numbers will change to 93/95. Keep going. In Boulder City, take the left turn for Hoover Dam— still 93/95. Keep going. Once over the Dam, you're on Highway 93. Keep going. Just before mile marker 53 (opposite Grasshopper Junction) turn left on the Chloride Road. Keep going. 3.5 miles later the road is called Tennessee Avenue and you're there. The Chamber of Commerce and Chloride Visitor Center is just past the main intersection at 4940 Tennessee Avenue. We'll be glad to welcome you.
From Phoenix: Take Grand Avenue to US Rte 60 to Wickenburg. Or take I-17 north to 74 east to 60 north to Wickenburg (longer but less traffic that way). Travel north on Hwy 93 to I-40, then west into Kingman. At exit 48, go north on Hwy 93. Just past mile marker 53, look for the blue Chloride sign. turn right onto the Chloride Road (County Rd. 125). Enter town and you'll be on Tennessee Avenue. Just pst the main intersection, you'll find the chloride Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center. Come on in. The coffee's hot!
From Flagstaff: Take I-40 west to Kingman. At Exit 48, go north on Highway 93 and follow the Phoenix directions to our door.
